Asian Tour: Bhullar 68th in Riyadh

Gaganjeet Bhullar, 36, capped off the 2024 season with a tied-68th place finish at the US$5 million PIF Saudi International, the season finale at Riyadh Golf Club. The 11-time Asian Tour winner, third on the all-time leaderboard, posted rounds of 70-67-73-71 for a 3-under total of 281, earning US$13,000 (₹11 lakhs) to close his International Series campaign.

Bhullar’s consistent efforts placed him 38th on the International Series rankings, the highest among Indian golfers. In a packed schedule, he featured in all 10 International Series events, with his best result being a tied-7th at the Black Mountain Championship in Thailand in October.

Across the broader Asian Tour season, Bhullar teed up in 16 events, making 10 cuts. His standout result outside the International Series came at the Indonesia Open, where he finished tied-34th. Despite his strong legacy at the Indonesia Open—where he won in 2013, 2016, and 2022—this season marked Bhullar’s first winless campaign since 2021. He concluded the season 49th on the Asian Tour rankings, securing his card for 2025 and maintaining his position as the top-ranked Indian golfer on the Tour.

Joining Bhullar in retaining full Asian Tour status for 2025 is Yuvraj Singh Sandhu. The 27-year-old finished 57th on the rankings after 16 starts, making the cut five times. Sandhu’s season was highlighted by a tied-4th finish at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters in October, followed by a tied-7th at the Taiwan Glass Taifong Open in November.
