Indian golfers shine at LET pre-qualifier, four advance to Final Stage
Indian women golfers delivered a stellar performance at the Ladies European Tour (LET) Pre-Qualifier in Morocco, with four out of 11 participants securing their spots for the Final Stage. The event, set to take place from December 16-20 at Royal Golf Marrakech and Al Maaden Golf Marrakech, promises to be a high-stakes showdown.
Sneha Singh leads the way
Leading the Indian charge was Sneha Singh, who finished tied for fourth at Noria Golf Club with rounds of 69, 73, and 75, totaling 2-under 217. Amandeep Drall, competing at Rotana Golf Club, followed closely, carding a consistent 2-under 214 (71-73-70) to claim fifth place. The promising Avani Prashanth also made the cut, finishing tied for ninth with steady rounds of 73, 72, and 72 (1-over 217). Rounding off the quartet was Vidhatri Urs, whose rounds of 68, 77, and 75 at Samanah Golf Club placed her tied for 14th at 4-over 220.

Heartbreak for Ridhima Dilawari
Ridhima Dilawari narrowly missed qualifying, falling heartbreakingly short by just one stroke. After a bogey on the penultimate hole, she needed a birdie on the final hole to secure her spot, but instead settled for a par. She finished with a total of 9-over 228, posting rounds of 79, 77, and an impressive final-round 72.
Pre-Qualifiers: A grueling test
The LET Pre-Qualifiers, played over 54 holes without cuts, serve as a rigorous test to identify talent for the Final Stage. Players from four venues—Noria, Palm Golf Ourika, Rotana Golf Club, and Samanah—competed for limited spots. The top 24 players and ties from Noria, along with the top 23 and ties from the other courses, earned their places at the Lalla Aicha Q-School.
Exemptions add to the excitement
Adding to India’s hopes, Vani Kapoor and Hitaashee Bakshi have already secured exemptions into the Final Stage due to their stellar performances this season. Hitaashee earned her spot by topping the 2024 Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (Hero WPGT) rankings, while Vani secured her exemption by finishing 130th in the 2024 LET rankings.
What’s at stake?
The stakes in Marrakech are sky-high. Only the top 20 players and ties at the Final Stage will secure LET Membership in Category 12, granting them full playing rights on the tour. Players outside this threshold face limited opportunities to compete in LET events, making the Final Stage a critical juncture in their careers.
