Vani Kapoor eyes sixth title of the season at Jaypee Greens Wishtown
Vani Kapoor will look to cap a dominant season with a sixth title when she tees it up at the 15th Leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at Jaypee Greens Wishtown Golf Course in Noida this week.
A five-time winner in 2025, Vani leads the Hero Order of Merit by a healthy margin and is also chasing back-to-back victories at the ₹17 lakh event. She has earned ₹18,86,167 from 11 starts this season, putting her well ahead of close friend and nearest rival Amandeep Drall, who sits second with ₹15,08,467 from 13 starts and two wins.
Vani has split her schedule between the Ladies European Tour and the Hero WPGT this year as she works to re-establish her form internationally. A top-10 finish at the Hero Women’s Indian Open in October was a step in the right direction, and her focus is already shifting toward building momentum for the 2026 season.
Jasmine Shekar, one of the most consistent players on tour in 2025, has played all 14 events so far and sits third on the Order of Merit with earnings of ₹13,43,000, including one win. Sneha Singh, one of three multiple winners this year, is fourth with ₹12,81,900.
Alongside Vani, Amandeep and Sneha, other leading contenders this week include Ridhima Dilawari, Heena Kang, Khushi Khanijau, Neha Tripathi, Vidhatri Urs and Lavanya Jadon.
The field features 36 players, including three amateurs — Saanvi Somu, Mahreen Bhatia and Shambhavi Chaturvedi — all hoping to make their mark in the final stretch of the 2025 Hero WPGT season.
