Dilawari holds nerve after quadruple bogey to win at Kalhaar

Ridhima Dilawari survived a late scare to clinch the second leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at Kalhaar Blues & Greens, holding on for a one-shot win despite a quadruple bogey in the final round.

Dilawari signed for a 5-over 77 and finished even-par 216, edging amateur Zara Anand by one after starting the day with a commanding four-shot cushion. It was her first win since July last year — and one that tested her resolve far more than expected.

The turning point came on the par-4 10th, where Dilawari carded a quadruple bogey to suddenly bring the field back into contention. With eight holes still to play, the lead evaporated and pressure mounted, but none of the challengers fully seized the opening.

Zara Anand closed with a 74 to finish second at 1-over 217. After a steady outward nine, a double bogey on the 10th and a dropped shot on the 13th stalled her charge. A birdie on the 15th briefly revived playoff hopes, but she couldn’t find another.

Vani Kapoor, the 2025 Order of Merit winner, finished third at 2-over 218 after a composed 72. Despite two early bogeys, she played a clean back nine but lacked the birdie burst needed to seriously threaten.

Dilawari’s win moved her to the top of the Hero Order of Merit with ₹4 lakh. Jasmine Shekar, winner of the opening leg, endured a tough week and finished 18th.

Behind the top three, Sneha Singh, Lavanya Gupta and Jahanvi Bakshi shared fourth, while Amandeep Drall and Lavanya Jadon rounded out the top ten.

Sometimes, winning is about hanging on. Dilawari did just enough.
