Nafis Darnalis grabs early lead at PGTI Q-School Pre-Qualifying III

Malaysia’s Muhammad Nafis Najmie Bin Darnalis set the early pace at Pre-Qualifying III of the PGTI Qualifying School 2026, firing a 4-under 68 at Kensville Golf & Country Club, Ahmedabad.

Nafis built his round with a burst on the back nine after starting on the 10th. He opened with a birdie on the 11th, then grabbed a big swing with an eagle on the 14th. Two more birdies on the fourth and sixth took him to four under before his lone blemish — a bogey on the eighth.

Playing in India for the first time, the 25-year-old Malaysian said he saw the PGTI as a strong platform to begin his pro journey and credited his putting for the opening-day advantage, with multiple conversions in the four-to-10 foot range.

India’s Anirudh Kamireddypalli was second after a 3-under 69. Jhared Hack of the United States and India’s Pranav Kaul were tied third at 2-under 70.
