Vani Kapoor leads strong field at Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour in Pune
Ridhima Dilawari and Vani Kapoor will headline the third leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour, set to be played this week at the Oxford Golf Resort in Pune.
Dilawari has started 2026 in strong form, finishing runner-up in the opening leg in Mumbai before winning the second event at Kalhaar Blues & Greens in Ahmedabad.
Kapoor, the standout performer of last season with five wins and the 2025 Hero Order of Merit title, returns as one of the top contenders in a 44-player field.
The Pune stop will be contested for a purse of Rs. 17 lakh, with five amateurs also in the field. Oxford Golf Resort, regarded as one of India’s finest layouts, is expected to provide a demanding test.
Dilawari currently leads the Hero Order of Merit with earnings of Rs. 4 lakh, followed closely by Jasmine Shekar, winner of the opening leg.
Several leading Indians will miss the event as they compete in the Ladies European Tour season-opener in Saudi Arabia, where the $5 million PIF Ladies International begins the 2026 calendar. Diksha Dagar, Avani Prashanth, Pranavi Urs, Hitaashee Bakshi and Aditi Ashok are in action in Riyadh.
Back on the domestic circuit, the Pune field also features Amandeep Drall, Sneha Singh, Tvesa Malik Sandhu, Neha Tripathi, Khushi Khanijau and Shweta Mansingh — all players capable of making an early-season breakthrough.
The third leg marks an important opportunity for those chasing points and momentum before the tour moves into its next stretch.
