DP World Players Championship India
DP World and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) have jointly launched the DP World Players Championship, a new tournament on the domestic calendar that will debut at the Qutab Golf Course in New Delhi from February 10–13, 2026.
The event will offer a prize purse of INR 1.5 crore, with tournament week beginning with a Pro-Am on February 8.
The championship follows DP World’s recently announced multi-year partnership with the PGTI, under which the global logistics leader became the Tour’s Title Partner and Official Umbrella Partner — a significant boost for India’s premier professional circuit.
The second event of the 2026 DP World PGTI season is set to feature a field of 126 players, including 125 professionals and one amateur.
Top Indian names in the field include former Order of Merit champions Veer Ahlawat, Om Prakash Chouhan and Manu Gandas, alongside Angad Cheema, Ajeetesh Sandhu and Shubham Jaglan, the 2026 PGTI Qualifying School champion.
Sri Lanka’s N Thangaraja, a three-time winner on the tour last season, leads the overseas contingent.
Delhi will also have strong local representation with Arjun Prasad, Kshitij Naveed Kaul, Rashid Khan and Shamim Khan — all established winners on the PGTI.
PGTI President Kapil Dev said the launch reflects a shared commitment to elevating Indian golf and expanding competitive opportunities for players. CEO Amandeep Johl added that the partnership positions the tour on a broader global platform while strengthening India’s standing as a host for elite-level professional events.
The DP World Players Championship marks another step in the growing ambition of the domestic tour as the 2026 season begins to take shape.
