Tvesa Malik wins in playoff to end two-year title drought on Hero WPGT

Tvesa Malik ended a winless run of more than two years as she beat Anvitha Narender in a playoff to win the third leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at Oxford Golf Resort in Pune. Malik’s previous title had come in September 2023 at DLF Golf & Country Club, Gurugram.

Starting the final round one shot behind, Malik drew level early when the momentum swung on the fourth hole — she bogeyed, but Narender’s double bogey brought the leaders together. Narender then dropped further shots on the sixth and eighth before picking up a birdie on the ninth to stay in the fight.

The back nine turned into a tight duel. Malik briefly stretched ahead with a birdie on the 11th, but a double bogey on the 12th pulled her back, leaving the pair level again. Narender responded with birdies on the 15th and 16th, while Malik also birdied the 15th to keep the pressure on as the lead changed hands late.

Narender held a one-shot edge after Malik bogeyed the 17th, but Malik produced the key moment on the 18th, making birdie to force a playoff as both finished tied at 1-over 217. Malik then held her nerve in extra holes to seal a long-awaited win and a confidence-boosting result.

Riya Jadon finished third after a 74, while amateur Aradhana Manikandan and Vani Kapoor shared fourth with even-par 72s — the best final-round scores in a day where no player broke par.

Mannat Brar finished sixth, with Ridhima Dilawari, Karishma Govind and Shagun Narain tied seventh. Vidhatri Urs completed the top 10.

On the Hero Order of Merit, Dilawari remains in front, with Kapoor now second and Jasmine Shekar third.

The tour stays in Pune for the fourth leg, scheduled at Poona Club Golf Course from February 17–19, with February 16 set aside as the practice round.
