Tvesa, Ridhima sizzle with 68s to share Hero WPGT lead at Poona Club
Tvesa Malik and Ridhima Dilawari unleashed birdie barrages to card matching 3-under 68s, sharing the Day 1 lead at Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour Leg 4 on Pune’s Poona Club Golf Course—before a record 49-player field chasing Rs 17 lakhs.
Back-to-back Pune winner Tvesa (playoff last week) grinded even on the front with one birdie-bogey, then ignited late: birdie 12th, steady through pressure, closing birdie-birdie-par on 15-18 after a 13th bogey.
Ridhima dominated the front with five birdies for a hot start, peaking at 6-under with seven total (including 14th). A 11th bogey, 15th double, and final bogey cooled her charge but secured the tie.
Vani Kapoor’s 69 placed her solo third; amateur Anuradha Chaudhary’s 70 took fourth as the only other under-par. Lavanya Gupta (72) held fifth; Sneha Singh, Durga Nittur, Jasmine Shekar, Anvitha Narender, and Vidhatri Urs tied sixth at 73.
Amandeep Drall (74, T11) and Neha Tripathi (75, T14) lurked. Hero MotoCorp’s backing elevates the Tour’s stakes.
