Om Prakash Chouhan continued as the leading Indian after round three of the Hero Indian Open, holding tied 20th place at 1-over 217.
The 39-year-old from Mhow carded a 1-over 73, staying inside the top 20 despite an up-and-down day on the demanding DLF layout.
Chouhan’s round featured five birdies but was undone by four bogeys and a double bogey. After slipping to three-over through 14 holes, he rallied with late birdies to steady his position.
“My tee shots were good but the putting wasn’t as sharp as yesterday,” Chouhan said. “I’ll take confidence from finishing strong and look to improve in the final round.”
Earlier, Chouhan had comfortably made the cut at even par, emerging as the best-placed Indian heading into the weekend.
Among the other Indians, Manoj S is tied 54th at 6-over after a 76, while Kshitij Naveed Kaul sits tied 63rd at 9-over.
At the top, defending champion Eugenio Chacarra leads at 10-under, four shots clear, but from an Indian perspective, Chouhan remains the key storyline heading into the final round.
