Order of Merit leader Saptak Talwar, three-time 2026 winner Khalin Joshi and defending champion N Thangaraja headline the INR 1 crore Bengaluru Open.
The Bengaluru Open 2026 powered by IndianOil will bring together several of the DP World PGTI’s leading players when its fifth edition begins at Karnataka Golf Association on Tuesday.
The INR 1 crore tournament will be played from September 22-25 and features a field of 132 golfers—131 professionals and one amateur.
Race to the DP World India Championship leader Saptak Talwar heads the entry list alongside Honey Baisoya, Veer Ahlawat, Akshay Sharma, Rashid Khan and Khalin Joshi.
Talwar and Ahlawat will use the tournament as their final competitive preparation before representing India at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. They will be joined in the national team by 2025 DP World PGTI Order of Merit champion Yuvraj Sandhu.
Joshi returns to his home course carrying excellent form after winning the SECL presents Nava Raipur Open. It was his third title of the season following earlier victories at the Andhra Open and J&K Open.
The Bengaluru contingent also includes Chikkarangappa S, Akshay Neranjen, Manoj S, Mari Muthu R and Varun Muthappa. Tanish R Gowda is the lone amateur in the field.
Sri Lanka’s N Thangaraja returns to defend his title, with compatriot Mithun Perera, Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool, Czech Republic’s Stepan Danek, Nepal’s Subash Tamang and Bangladesh’s Md Akbar Hossain among the prominent overseas challengers.
“The Bengaluru Open has established itself as an important tournament on the DP World PGTI calendar,” Tour CEO Amandeep Johl said. “The city has a passionate golfing community, and we look forward to another exciting week at KGA.”
Spread across 125 acres, KGA combines narrow playing corridors and numerous water hazards with shifting winds. Those features are expected to place a premium on accuracy, approach play and course management throughout the week.
