PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai will make his tournament debut at Delhi Golf Club, adding another Major champion to the $4 million event’s star-studded field.

PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai has confirmed his participation in the 2026 DP World India Championship, strengthening an already formidable field for the tournament’s second edition.

The World No. 17 will make his event debut at Delhi Golf Club from October 15-18, joining defending champion Tommy Fleetwood, Career Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy and 2026 Open champion Ryan Fox.

Rai, who has Indian and Kenyan heritage, claimed his maiden Major title at Aronimink Golf Club in May. The Englishman is a four-time DP World Tour winner and secured his first PGA Tour victory at the 2024 Wyndham Championship.

“I’m excited to travel to Delhi for the DP World India Championship this year,” Rai said. “I’ve heard a lot about the event, and with connections to India throughout my family, there is a lot to look forward to across the week.”

The field also includes Major champions Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, Bubba Watson and Patrick Reed, who currently leads the Race to Dubai.

European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald, Viktor Hovland and PGA Tour and DP World Tour winner Min Woo Lee have also confirmed their participation. Shubhankar Sharma and Anirban Lahiri will be among the Indian stars seeking success on home soil.

Launched in 2025 by DP World and the DP World Tour, the championship offers a $4 million prize fund—the largest for a DP World Tour event staged in India. It is co-sanctioned by the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India.

The tournament will be the eighth of nine events in the Back 9 phase of the Race to Dubai, leading into the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs.
