Aditi Ashok slipped to tied 24th after a late collapse in the third round of the Fortinet Founders Cup, dropping out of contention heading into the final day.
Starting the day tied third, Aditi carded a 1-over 73 after a costly finish that included a bogey and a triple bogey over her final two holes. She now sits well off the lead despite being firmly in contention earlier in the round.
Aditi’s round featured four birdies, including gains on the fifth, eighth, 10th and 16th holes, but three bogeys and the closing triple proved decisive.
At the top, Hyo Joo Kim extended her lead with a 6-under 66 to move to 17-under, five shots clear of the field as she chases her eighth LPGA title.
Nelly Korda moved into second place at 12-under after matching Kim’s 66, while Ruixin Liu and Gaby Lopez are tied third at 11-under.
World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul is part of a group tied fifth at 9-under alongside Erika Hara, Karis Davidson and Hye Jin Choi.
With one round to play, Aditi will look to regroup after the late setback, while Kim holds a commanding lead heading into the final day.
