Amateur Lavanya Gupta wins Hero WPG Tour Leg at DLF by five shots

Amateur Lavanya Gupta held her nerve on a demanding final day to win the fifth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at DLF Golf & Country Club by five shots.

Lavanya carded a 2-over 74 in the closing round to finish at 1-over 217 (71-72-74), comfortably clear of Durga Nittur and Jasmine Shekar, who shared second place at 6-over 222.

It marked a composed victory for the young amateur on one of the toughest layouts on the domestic circuit, with her steady play contrasting sharply with the struggles of the chasing pack.

Durga Nittur closed with a 77 after rounds of 75 and 70, while overnight contender Jasmine Shekar slipped back with a final-round 78.

Amandeep Drall finished fourth at 224 after a closing 75, and Sneha Singh was fifth at 227 following a 77.

Lavanya’s round began cautiously with six consecutive pars before a bogey on the seventh and a birdie on the eighth. A double bogey on the 10th briefly threatened to open the door, but she steadied with eight straight pars to seal the victory.

Mahreen Bhatia, the last amateur winner on the tour before Lavanya, finished sixth at 228 after a closing 78.

Neha Tripathi placed seventh, while Mannat Brar finished eighth. A group of four players — Lavanya Jadon, Anvvi Dahhiya, amateur Aradhana Manikandan and Saanvi Somu — shared ninth place.

Among the established names, Tvesa Malik finished tied 15th after an 80, while Ridhima Dilawari was tied 19th following a 77.

The course proved demanding throughout the week, with only one under-par round recorded on the final day — a 1-under 71 from Anvitha Narender.

With the Rs.18 lakh event complete, Dilawari continues to lead the Hero Order of Merit with earnings of Rs.7,61,667, followed by Jasmine Shekar and Sneha Singh.

The tour now moves to Jaypee Wishtown Golf Course in Noida for the sixth leg, scheduled from March 17–20, 2026.
