Pranavi Urs slipped out of the top 10 with a closing 74, while Avani Prashanth climbed into tied 27th after producing her best round of the week.

Pranavi Urs finished as the leading Indian at the weather-shortened La Sella Open, closing with a two-over 74 to share 17th place in Denia, Spain.

The Hero-backed golfer began the final round tied eighth after scores of 69 and 71 but slipped down the leaderboard to finish at two-under for the 54-hole event.

Urs opened with three pars before making her first birdie at the fourth. A bogey at the ninth was followed by further dropped shots at the 11th, 13th and 16th. She recovered one stroke with a closing birdie at the 18th.

Avani Prashanth produced the best Indian round of the day, shooting a two-under 70 to climb into tied 27th at even-par (74-72-70).

After an opening bogey, Prashanth responded with birdies at the fourth and seventh. She added further gains at the 12th and 15th, either side of her only other bogey at the 13th.

Diksha Dagar, Vani Kapoor and Hitaashee Bakshi missed the halfway cut.

England’s Charlotte Heath held off the chasing pack to claim her maiden Ladies European Tour title by two strokes. The 24-year-old rookie closed with a 73 to finish at 10-under following rounds of 68 and 65.

Heath began the final day with a four-shot advantage but faced increasing pressure as that cushion narrowed. She steadied herself over the closing stretch to complete a wire-to-wire victory.

Severe weather disrupted the opening two days and forced officials to reduce the tournament from 72 to 54 holes. Organisers also announced a €1,400 payment for each player who missed the cut following the disruption.
