Diksha Dagar, Gaurika Bishnoi and several leading Indian professionals will use this week’s event at DLF Golf & Country Club to prepare for the Hero Women’s Indian Open.

The Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour will welcome the largest field in its history when Leg 13 begins at DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram.

The INR 17 lakh event features 60 players—53 professionals and seven amateurs—and will serve as valuable preparation for next month’s Hero Women’s Indian Open at the same venue.

DLF’s demanding Gary Player layout regularly provides one of the toughest tests on the Ladies European Tour. This week gives the Indian players an opportunity to assess the course under tournament conditions before returning for the country’s premier women’s championship.

Two-time LET winner Diksha Dagar headlines the field after taking a break from her European schedule. Dagar, who has previously finished third at the Hero Women’s Indian Open, is seeking to become only the second Indian winner of the event after Aditi Ashok.

The rare domestic appearance also forms part of Dagar’s preparation for the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya later this month. She will return from Japan before teeing up at the Women’s Indian Open.

Gaurika Bishnoi will also make her return to competitive action as she builds towards the National Open. A former top-10 finisher at the tournament, Bishnoi adds further experience to the field.

Hero Order of Merit leader Ridhima Dilawari will be joined by Vani Kapoor, former Women’s Indian Open runner-up Amandeep Drall, Tvesa Malik, Sneha Singh and Jasmine Shekar.

Several younger players who have been gaining experience internationally are also entered, including Saanvi Somu, Mannat Brar, Heena Kang and Nayanika Sanga.

With most of India’s leading professionals assembled at the Women’s Indian Open venue, Leg 13 offers both a record domestic field and an early indication of which players are adapting best to DLF’s demanding conditions.
