Shiv Kapur produced a spectacular bogey-free 10-under 62, highlighted by a hole-in-one, to open a four-shot lead at the AM Green IGPL Invitational 2026 presented by Vimtra Chennai Lions GC in Ras Al Khaimah.

The UAE-based Indian, a multiple winner on the Asian Tour, matched the Al Hamra Golf Club course record with eight birdies and an ace at the par-three 15th.

Representing RVR Delhi Blue Bulls, Kapur raced out of the blocks with a birdie on the first before making four in a row from the third to the sixth. Another gain on the eighth took him to the turn in six-under 30.

Kapur continued his charge with consecutive birdies on the 13th and 14th before producing the shot of the day. He struck a five-wood into the par-three 15th and found the cup for an ace, taking him to 10-under. Three closing pars completed a flawless 62.

Kapur led by four over a group of four players making their IGPL debuts. Ravi Kumar, Joshua Grenville-Wood, Varun Parikh and Varun Chopra opened with matching six-under 66s to share second place.

Shaurya Binu was alone in sixth after a five-under 67, while Tushar Pannu, Raghav Chugh and Sukhman Singh shared seventh at four-under following rounds of 68.

Four-time IGPL winner Gaganjeet Bhullar lost ground with a difficult back nine and ended the opening day tied for 10th. He shared the position with debutant Arjun Prasad, teenage prospect Veer Ganapathy and Samarth Dwivedi.

The tournament is the opening event of the second half of the 2026 AM Green IGPL season.
