The Locker Room brings golf and cricket greats together in Delhi

Delhi Golf Club will host more than a world-class tournament this week. It will also become the meeting point for two sports that command enormous followings in India.

Major champion Sir Nick Faldo and former England cricket captain Kevin Pietersen will join presenter Anna Jackson for The Locker Room Delivered by DP World, a new studio programme running alongside the DP World India Championship from October 15 to 18.

The twice-daily show will bring golfers and cricketers into the same conversation, offering viewers a more informal look at the personalities surrounding the US$4 million championship.

Indian cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh are scheduled to appear during the week, while Rory McIlroy and defending champion Tommy Fleetwood will be among the leading golfers to visit the studio.

The format will move beyond scores and on-course analysis to explore the preparation, pressure and personal stories behind elite sport. Faldo and Pietersen bring contrasting perspectives from careers spent at the highest levels of golf and cricket, giving the programme a natural crossover appeal.

A preview episode opens the series on Wednesday. Two editions will then be released each day from Thursday through Sunday: a recorded morning programme and a live show following the completion of play.

Every episode will be available through the DP World Tour YouTube channel, with clips and highlights also distributed across the tournament, Tour and DP World social platforms. The programme will additionally be made available to broadcast partners.

The concept follows the DP World Dressing Room, which brought prominent cricketers together during the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Its golf version is being produced on site by European Tour Productions in collaboration with DP World and the DP World Tour.

DP World Group Chief Communications Officer Daniel van Otterdijk said the programme had been designed to connect different sporting audiences and highlight the conversations taking place beyond the competition itself.

The studio adds another dimension to a championship already featuring one of the strongest fields assembled in India. Fleetwood returns to defend the Lotus Trophy against McIlroy, reigning Open champion Ryan Fox, PGA champion Aaron Rai and a strong Indian contingent.

The DP World India Championship is the eighth of nine events in the Back 9 phase of the Race to Dubai and is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and DP World PGTI.

While the tournament unfolds outside, The Locker Room will give viewers a seat inside the conversations connecting golf’s leading names with some of cricket’s most recognisable figures.
