Sahith Theegala and Sudarshan Yellamaraju moved into contention with strong third rounds to sit tied seventh at the Houston Open.
Both players reached 10-under par after 54 holes, keeping themselves within striking distance heading into the final round.
Yellamaraju fired a 5-under 65, while Theegala added a 4-under 66 as the Indian-origin duo climbed the leaderboard on moving day.
Theegala’s round featured five birdies against a lone bogey, continuing his steady progression through the week.
Yellamaraju, coming off a top-five finish at The Players, produced one of the standout rounds of the day with seven birdies, offset by two bogeys.
At the top, Gary Woodland took a one-shot lead after a 5-under 65 lifted him to 18-under par. Nicolai Højgaard sits second at 17-under following a 63.
Defending champion Min Woo Lee is third at 12-under, leaving a gap between the leaders and the chasing pack.
With one round to play, Theegala and Yellamaraju remain within range — and a low final round could yet bring them into the mix.
