Bhullar gears up for LIV Golf Promotions
36-year-old Gaganjeet Bhullar, an 11-time Asian Tour champion and third on the tour’s all-time wins list, is preparing for his second attempt at the LIV Golf Promotions. Scheduled for December 12-14 at the Riyadh Golf Club, the event offers a chance to secure a spot on the LIV Golf League and the 2025 International Series.
Bhullar narrowly missed the cut last year, finishing 14th after entering directly in the second round thanks to his eighth-place finish on the Asian Tourโs International Series Rankings. This year, the stakes are higher. A 38th-place finish in the 2023 rankings means Bhullar must tackle all four rounds of the grueling qualifier.

The 2024 season has been a test of endurance for the Indian golf star. Bhullar played in all 10 International Series events, with a tied-7th finish at the Black Mountain Championship in Thailand marking his best performance. Across the Asian Tour, he teed it up in 16 events, making 10 cuts, with a tied-34th finish at the Indonesia Open standing out among non-International Series tournaments.
The qualifier will feature 93 players from 30 countries vying for coveted spots. For Bhullar, itโs an opportunity to redeem last yearโs near-miss and cement his place on a global stage.
Last year, Karandeep Kochhar, the other Indian hopeful, exited after the first round, finishing even-par and tied-40th. Bhullar will aim to carry the torch for Indian golf with a determined showing in Riyadh.
