Bryson DeChambeau to headline International Series India
Bryson DeChambeau, one of golf’s most polarizing and influential stars, is set to headline the International Series India presented by DLF from January 30 to February 2. This landmark tournament at DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram marks the first time a defending major champion will compete on Indian soil.
The 31-year-old American, who secured his second U.S. Open title in June at Pinehurst, will join his Crushers GC teammate Anirban Lahiri. The duo leads the opening event of the elevated 2025 Asian Tour calendar, offering a $2 million prize purse and promising a star-studded lineup.
DeChambeau’s resume includes two U.S. Open titles, seven PGA Tour wins, and two LIV Golf League victories. His unorthodox methods—from transforming his physique for added driving distance to designing his own single-length clubs—have made him a trailblazer. Known for his analytical approach, he has redefined modern golf with his powerhouse drives and innovative thinking.
Off the course, DeChambeau connects with a younger audience through his social media presence, boasting 1.6 million YouTube subscribers and 2.1 million Instagram followers. His content introduces golf to a fresh demographic, further solidifying his status as a game-changer.
The International Series India, the first LIV Golf-backed event on the subcontinent, also serves as a pathway to the LIV Golf League. Top performers can advance through season-long rankings and the LIV Golf Promotions event. As the series expands to markets like Macau, Morocco, Hong Kong, and Saudi Arabia, it highlights golf’s growing global reach.
For Indian fans, DeChambeau’s participation is a rare chance to witness a global superstar in action alongside national hero Anirban Lahiri. The tournament promises to be a thrilling blend of world-class competition and the vibrant energy of the Indian subcontinent.
