Diksha Dagar will lead a five-member Indian challenge at the Australian WPGA Championship this week at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club.
The two-time LET winner, currently ninth on the Order of Merit, is joined by Pranavi Urs, Avani Prashanth, Hitaashee Bakshi and Vani Kapoor in the field. Diksha and Pranavi arrive with momentum after registering top-10 finishes during the Australian swing.
Avani Prashanth has shown modest form so far, while Hitaashee Bakshi has struggled for consistency. Vani Kapoor, playing on an invite, missed the cut in her previous start.
At the top of the field, Australia’s Hannah Green arrives as the player to beat. The Major winner is chasing a third victory in three starts after winning both the Singapore LPGA event and last week’s Women’s Australian Open.
Green created history in Adelaide, becoming the first Australian since 2014 to win her national open, closing with a final-round 70 to seal a one-shot victory at 11-under.
The strong field also includes 2025 LET Order of Merit winner Shannon Tan of Singapore, whose season featured a victory at the Hero Women’s Indian Open.
Green will be grouped with compatriot Stephanie Kyriacou and New Zealand’s Amelia Garvey for the opening two rounds, as the tournament marks the second edition of the Australian WPGA Championship on the LET schedule.
With form, confidence and a stacked field, the final event of the Australian swing promises another competitive week on tour.
