DP World Tour Q-School: Saptak Talwar shoots 65, moves to T-22
In a stellar third-round performance at the DP World Tour Q-School Final Stage in Spain, 25-year-old Saptak Talwar, a Sacred Heart University graduate and former PGA Tour Canada player, fired an impressive 65. The round propelled Talwar from tied-93rd overnight to tied-22nd, keeping him firmly in contention to make the 72-hole cut.
Talwar, who previously posted rounds of 70-71, knew he needed a strong move to break into the top 65 and remain eligible for the next round. Now at 8-under par, he stands as the top-ranked Indian in the competition. Fellow Indian Rayhan Thomas shot a 71 following rounds of 67-72, placing him tied-61st at 5-under, while Angad Cheema, exempt into the Final Stage due to his PGTI standings, posted a 69 after rounds of 70-71 to sit tied-79th at 4-under.
