Haldiram–KLJ Launch Rajasthan franchise in PGTI’s ‘72 The League’

The Professional Golf Tour of India’s (PGTI) ambitious new property, 72 The League, has added a major commercial name to its lineup, with Haldiram Snacks and the KLJ Group announcing a Rajasthan-based franchise ahead of the league’s inaugural season.

The franchise will be jointly owned by Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt. Ltd. and the KLJ Group of Companies, marking the entry of two of India’s most established business houses into the country’s first exclusive national professional golf league. The agreement was formalised with PGTI President Kapil Dev by Manohar Lal Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Haldiram Snacks, and Hemant Jain, Group Managing Director of the KLJ Group.

Launched by the PGTI in partnership with Game of Life Sports (GOLS), 72 The League will tee off on February 21, 2026. The opening season will be staged across three premier venues in the Delhi-NCR region — Classic Golf & Country Club, Jaypee Greens and Qutab Golf Course.

The league will feature city-based franchises, each comprising 10 professional golfers selected through a player auction, with leading names from the PGTI circuit expected to compete. The format is designed to create a high-intensity, team-based product aimed at television and digital audiences.

Welcoming the Rajasthan franchise, Kapil Dev said the addition of Haldiram and KLJ brought a new dimension to the league and would help expand golf’s footprint across the country.

Haldiram Snacks is among India’s most recognisable food brands with a global presence, while the KLJ Group is a leading manufacturer of plasticizers, chemicals and polymer compounds across India, Qatar and Thailand.

The league will also feature Pro-Am events, fan zones, live entertainment and premium broadcast production, as PGTI looks to package professional golf in India as a modern, fan-first sporting property.
