LET Q-School: Sneha Singh and Vidhatri Urs shine as leaders in Morocco
Sneha Singh, the No. 1 player in the 2023 Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (Hero WPGT) rankings from Hyderabad, and Vidhatri Urs, the 2023 All India Ladies Amateur Champion and a four-time winner on the Hero WPGT from Mysore, delivered impressive performances in the opening rounds of the Ladies European Tour (LET) Pre-Qualifiers in Morocco. Singh and Urs shot rounds of 69 and 68, respectively, at the Noria and Samanah venues to emerge as early leaders in the competition.
The LET, Europe’s premier women’s golf tour, commenced its Pre-Qualifiers yesterday, drawing 248 players from 43 countries. These aspiring professionals are competing for coveted spots on the 2025 LET roster. Among them are 11 Indian players in the pre-qualifier field, while Hitaashee Bakshi and Vani Kapoor have already secured direct exemptions to the Final Stage of the qualifiers.
The Pre-Qualifiers are structured as 54-hole, no-cut tournaments, with advancement determined by finishing position. The top 24 players and ties from the Noria venue, along with the top 23 players and ties from Palm Golf Ourika, Golf Club Rotana, and Samanah, will progress to the Final Qualifier at the Lalla Aicha Q-School.

Hitaashee Bakshi earned her exemption to the Final Stage by clinching the 2024 Hero WPGT rankings title, a testament to her consistency and skill throughout the season. Vani Kapoor secured her spot by finishing 130th in the 2024 LET rankings, showcasing her resilience on the European circuit.
The Final Stage, a 90-hole competition, will take place from December 16-20 at Royal Golf Marrakech and Al Maaden Golf Marrakech. The top 20 players and ties will earn LET Membership in Category 12.
As the Pre-Qualifiers unfold, the Indian contingent, led by Singh and Urs, is poised to make a significant mark in this intense competition. Their strong starts underline the growing presence and prowess of Indian golfers on the international stage.
