LIV Golf partners with Fox Sports for multi-year broadcast deal

LIV Golf has announced a multiyear partnership with Fox Sports, set to kick off next month with the league’s opening event of the season in Saudi Arabia. This new deal marks a major step for the league as it looks to expand its audience and establish itself more firmly in the competitive golf landscape.

Under the agreement, more than half of LIV Golf’s schedule will air on Fox or FS1, with additional rounds appearing on FS2 and the Fox Business Network. Fans can look forward to nearly 210 hours of live coverage, ensuring that they won’t miss a moment of the action.

The announcement comes on the heels of Scott O’Neil’s introduction as LIV’s new CEO, signaling a new era for the league. This deal also follows LIV’s previous broadcasting arrangement with The CW, which struggled to attract significant viewership. LIV Golf will continue to oversee all production and retain its familiar on-air talent, maintaining the unique identity it has built over its short history.

Brooks Koepka, one of LIV’s marquee players, praised the partnership in a press release, calling it a “huge win for LIV Golf.” The new arrangement is expected to provide the league with greater exposure and a chance to connect with a broader audience of golf fans.

The season’s first four tournaments are set to take place overseas, with the league’s first U.S. event scheduled in Miami just a week before the Masters. Notably, LIV’s final three tournaments will overlap with the PGA Tour’s FedExCup playoffs in August, setting up a direct competition for viewership and attention.

This partnership with Fox Sports is a significant milestone for LIV Golf, showcasing its ambition to carve out a prominent space in the world of professional golf. With a new CEO at the helm and a strong broadcasting partner, the league is poised to make its mark in the upcoming season.
