LIV Golf Promotions 2024

The second edition of LIV Golf Promotions is set to take place from December 12-14 at Riyadh Golf Club, offering a coveted pathway for elite players to secure their spot in the 2025 LIV Golf League.

The tournament will unfold over four rounds of intense 18-hole stroke play. Round one will see players battling for a place in the top 20 to advance to round two, where scores are reset and automatic qualifiers enter the fray. From there, the field narrows as the top 20 players from the first 36 holes progress to the decisive final round — a 36-hole shootout.

At stake is a guaranteed berth in the 2025 LIV Golf League for the shootout winner, while the top 10 finishers, including ties, will earn exemptions for the 2025 International Series on the Asian Tour.

Prize Money

Total purse of $1,500,000 will be awarded as follows:

1st $200,000	2nd $150,000	3rd $100,000
4th $75,000	5th $50,000	6th $45,000
7th $40,000	8th $35,000	9th $30,000
10th $25,000	11-20th $17,500

Players completing Round 2 but not advancing for Round 3: $10,000
Players completing Round 1 but not advancing for Round 2: $5,000
Players must complete each Round in full to qualify for prize money.
Amateurs will receive $1,000 regardless of finishing position. With any prize money for finishing top 20 donated to LIV charity of choice.

Eligibility Criteria

Only the following golfers will qualify for entry. Entrants in Category A qualify for LIV Golf Promotions and will play in Round 1; of these, only the Top 20 and ties from Round 1 will advance to Round 2. Entrants in Category B receive a bye into Round 2.

All successful entrants will be notified by 22 November 2024.

Category A: Qualifiers for Round 1

1. Members of the 2023 Walker Cup and 2024 Palmer Cup Teams

2. Winner and runner-up of the following last played amateur events:
a. US Amateur Championship
b. The (British) Amateur Championship
c. Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship
d. Latin America Amateur Championship
e. European Amateur Championship
f. African Amateur Championship
g. NCAA Championship (Individual)
h. Eisenhower Trophy (Individual)

3. Leading 15 available players from within the top 40 WAGR as of November 19 2024 (excluding players exempt into round 2)

4. Leading 25 available players from within the top 40 on the final 2024 International Series Rankings (excluding those exempt into round two)

5. Leading 5 available players from inside the top 10 from each of the following professional Tours as of November 19 2024 (excluding those exempt into round two):
a. Japan Golf Tour
b. KPGA Korean Tour
c. Sunshine Tour
d. PGA Tour of Australasia

6. Leading 30 available players from within the top 300 of The Universal Golf Rankings (TUGR) as of November 19 2024 (excluding those who are exempt into Round 2)

7. Invitations as determined by LIV Golf League

Category B: Exemptions into Round 2

The following players are exempt from Round 1 and are automatically eligible to participate in Round 2:

1. Leading 2 available players from within the top 15 on the WAGR as of 19 November 2024

2. Players ranked 2 to 8 on the final 2024 International Series rankings

3. Top 3 Players from each of the following professional Tours as of 19 November 2024
a) Japan Golf Tour
b) KPGA Korean Tour
c) Sunshine Tour
d) PGA Tour of Australasia

4. Leading 5 available players from within the top 30 of the Final 2024 DP World Tour and Korn Ferry Tour Order of Merits / Rankings

5. Winners of International Series and Asian Tour sanctioned tournaments in the 2024 calendar year

6. Winners of Japan Golf Tour, KPGA Korean Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, Sunshine Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia sanctioned tournaments in the 2024 calendar year

7. Winners of PGA Tour and DP World Tour sanctioned tournaments in the 2023 and 2024 calendar years

8. Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup participants from 2019 – 2024

9. Winners of Major Championships from 2019 – 2024

10. Leading 15 available players from within the top 150 of The Universal Golf Rankings (TUGR) as of November 19 2024

11. Players relegated or without a contract for the following season from the Final 2024 LIV Golf Individual Standings

12. Invitations as determined by LIV Golf League.
