Md Nawab wins PGTI Q-School Pre-Qualifying I in Ahmedabad

Md Nawab won Pre-Qualifying I of the PGTI Qualifying School 2026 after an even-par 72 in the second round at Kensville Golf & Country Club in Ahmedabad. The Patna professional finished at 1-under 143 with rounds of 71–72.

Nawab began the day tied second and two shots off the lead, and mixed three birdies with three bogeys. After two late bogeys, he closed strongly with a chip-in birdie at the 18th to seal top spot.

From the 141-player field in Pre-Qualifying I, the top 27 advanced to the Final Qualifying Stage, with the cut set at 6-over 150.

Amateur Aryav Shah (71–73) finished tied second at even-par 144. Uganda’s Marvin Kibirige (71–73) also shared second place to lead the international contingent into the Final Stage.

Zambia’s Sydney Joseph Wemba (75–74), who is also a YouTuber with 15.9k subscribers was the other overseas player to qualify, advancing in T-16 at 5-over 149.
