Rahil Gangjee earns Asian Tour card for 2025
46-year-old Rahil Gangjee, a former winner on both the Japan and Asian Tours, has earned his 2025 Asian Tour card by finishing third on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) Rankings. The top 10 players on the ADT standings secure playing rights on the Asian Tour for the following season, and Gangjee’s remarkable consistency this year cemented his position among the elite.
Competing in just eight events, Gangjee claimed two victories—the PKNS Selangor Masters in Malaysia in June and the BRG Open Championship in Vietnam in August. With only one missed cut throughout the season, his impressive campaign culminated in third place on the ADT rankings.
At the season-ending US$ 250,000 Aramco Invitational Tournament in Saudi Arabia, Gangjee posted rounds of 70-73-73-72 for an even-par total of 288, finishing tied-25th to pocket US$2,400. His season earnings reached US$53,707.33 (₹45,41,735). A top-12 finish in the finale could have elevated him to second place in the overall rankings.
Among other Indian players, Aman Raj, the 2023 PGTI season rankings runner-up, finished 17th on the ADT standings, with Arjun Prasad (36th), Khalin Joshi (43rd), and Pukhraj Singh Gill (44th) rounding out the top-five Indian performers on the tour this year.
This success follows Chandigarh’s Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, who secured his 2024 Asian Tour card with an eighth-place ADT finish in 2023. The back-to-back achievements of Indian golfers through the ADT underscore the growing potential of this pathway to higher levels of professional golf while balancing their schedules on the domestic PGTI circuit.
