Sandhu storms ahead with sizzling 64 at TATA Open finale

Yuvraj Sandhu’s fiery eight-under 64 at Beldih Golf Club rocketed him to the top of the TATA Open 2025 leaderboard, the INR 2 crore PGTI season finale at Jamshedpur’s twin venues, Beldih and Golmuri.

The six-time 2025 PGTI champion, who has already clinched the season’s Order of Merit and a DP World Tour card for next year, moved seven spots from tied-eighth to lead at 11-under 131—three clear at halfway—as he hunted a record seventh title of the year.

Sandhu, four off the pace overnight, opened Friday with three front-nine birdies, stumbled briefly on the 10th, then ignited with six straight birdies from the 11th to the 16th. His surge included two 12–15-foot conversions, two clutch up-and-downs, and a pair of short birdie rolls to cap a blistering back nine.

“The body finally felt fresh today,” he said. “Yesterday I was battling fatigue after playing back-to-back weeks, but today I could swing freely. In fact, I enjoy windy conditions like Beldih—reminds me of Asia, where I’ve played a lot recently.”

Twenty-one-year-old Shubham Jaglan, fresh off earning full 2026 Asian Tour playing rights through Qualifying School in Hua Hin, Thailand, shot a four-under 66 at Golmuri to rise to solo second at eight-under 134.

The halfway cut fell at two-over 144, with 53 professionals advancing to the weekend.
