Saptak Talwar claimed his second professional title after winning the US$300,000 Indorama Ventures Open Golf Championship at Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club in Ahmedabad.
Talwar closed with a steady 2-under 70 to finish at 10-under 278 for the week (68-71-69-70), securing a two-shot victory. The win earned the 27-year-old a cheque of US$48,000 (₹43,20,000) and lifted him to the top of the DP World PGTI Order of Merit.
The Greater Noida golfer, who represents Jaypee Greens Golf Resort, now leads the merit list with season earnings of ₹46,00,200.
Austria’s Christoph Bleier produced a strong final round of 3-under 69 to finish runner-up at 8-under 280. Veer Ahlawat and teenager Kartik Singh shared third place at 7-under 281 after both signed for final-round 70s.
Frenchman Clement Sordet finished fifth at 6-under 282, while overnight joint leader Dhruv Sheoran slipped to tied sixth at 5-under 283.
Talwar, who began the day sharing the lead with Sheoran, made steady progress throughout the round. He capitalised on the par-5s with birdies on the fifth and eighth holes after reaching the greens in two.
A bogey on the ninth briefly halted his momentum after finding the water, but Talwar responded strongly with a crucial birdie on the par-5 14th following an excellent up-and-down. From there, he maintained control as his closest challengers struggled to mount a sustained challenge.
Talwar credited his improved ball control and experience from playing overseas last season for the victory. The Indian had competed regularly on the HotelPlanner Tour in 2025, where he contended several times before finally converting his form into a win this week.
Ahmedabad-based Dhruv Suri finished 61st at 18-over 306.
