Shubhankar Sharma struggled to a third-round 75 in Scotland, while Shaun Norris matched the course record with a 66 to establish a two-shot lead.

Shubhankar Sharma slipped to tied 41st after returning a 3-over 75 in the third round of the Nexo Championship at Trump International Golf Links.

Sharma managed two birdies against five bogeys during a difficult Saturday, losing ground after beginning the round in position to challenge for a higher finish.

The result nevertheless marked an improvement for the Indian, who ended a run of four consecutive missed cuts by qualifying for the weekend in Scotland. Yuvraj Sandhu, the other Indian in the field, missed the halfway cut.

South Africa’s Shaun Norris matched the course record with a 66 to reach 9-under and build a two-stroke advantage ahead of the final round.

Starting one shot behind overnight leader Matthew Southgate, Norris opened with a birdie before producing the shot of the day at the par-five fourth. The 44-year-old holed his second shot for an albatross—the fifth of his professional career.

Further birdies at the seventh and 14th strengthened his position. Norris dropped his only shot at the 15th but responded with another birdie at the 17th before parring the final hole.

Norris will enter Sunday seeking his third DP World Tour title and first since winning the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Championship.

England’s Matthew Jordan emerged as his closest challenger after a 68 lifted him to 7-under. Jordan recovered from an opening bogey and finished with consecutive birdies as he continued the form that earned him a runner-up finish at the Danish Golf Championship.

Home favourite Scott Jamieson shot 69 to reach 6-under, three strokes behind Norris. He is chasing his first DP World Tour victory since 2012.

Southgate and Japan’s Keita Nakajima shared fourth at 5-under, while Connor McKinney, Andy Sullivan and Benjamin Follett-Smith were tied at 3-under.
