Teen star Anna Huang eyes rare LET hat-trick at Hero Women’s Indian Open

16-year-old Canadian sensation Anna Huang will headline the Hero Women’s Indian Open (HWIO) 2025 at DLF Golf & Country Club from October 9–12, chasing a rare hat-trick of wins on the Ladies European Tour (LET).

Huang has captured her last two starts in Spain and France, and a third straight victory in Gurugram would put her alongside France’s Marie-Laure de Lorenzi (1989) and Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen (2020) as the only players to record three consecutive LET titles.

Currently ninth on the LET Order of Merit, Huang is also a strong contender for Rookie of the Year. A win in India could propel her into the season’s top five with just three events remaining, keeping her in contention for the Order of Merit crown.

Turning professional earlier this year after finishing 29th at LET Qualifying School, Huang has steadily built momentum—T-20s in Australia and Joburg, a T-7 in Switzerland, and then back-to-back wins at La Sella and the Lacoste Ladies Open de France. Already the second Canadian to lift an LET trophy, she now stands on the threshold of history.

Huang will be joined by LET stars Mimi Rhodes, Sara Kouskova, and Shannon Tan—also double winners in 2025—ensuring a high-calibre field. India’s challenge will be spearheaded by Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs, Tvesa Malik, and Avani Prashanth.

With free entry for fans, the 2025 HWIO promises a thrilling mix of emerging stars and established champions, underlining its reputation as South Asia’s biggest women’s golf event.
