Three PGTI pros secure All Thailand Golf Tour cards
The trio of PGTI pros —Stepan Danek from the Czech Republic, Akshay Sharma from Chandigarh, and Singapore-born Indian Yash Majmudar—have earned full playing rights on the All Thailand Golf Tour (ATGT) for the 2025 season. All three finished within the top 40 at the tour’s Final Stage, marking a promising step forward in their respective careers.
Stepan Danek delivered an impressive performance with rounds of 65-71-71-70, finishing sixth at 11-under par. The Czech professional, who recently secured his playing rights on the PGTI after finishing 40th in the season rankings, is enjoying a strong run of form. Since turning professional in 2019, Danek has built a diverse résumé, competing on the Pro Golf Tour in Europe—known for awarding Challenge Tour cards to its top performers—as well as the MENA Tour and select events on the Challenge and DP World Tours.
With full playing rights on both the ATGT and the PGTI for 2025, Danek’s career trajectory is hitting new heights. For a player who started with no status, holding full rights on two professional tours is a testament to his resilience and determination.
Chandigarh’s Akshay Sharma, a two-time PGTI winner, shot rounds of 70-75-72-67, finishing tied-23rd at 4-under par. Known for his steady game, Sharma’s performance underscores his capability to compete at an international level.

Yash Majmudar, a former University of San Diego collegiate golfer, also made his mark with rounds of 71-71-71-73 to secure a tied-30th finish at 2-under par. His journey to the Final Stage was no less dramatic—he narrowly advanced after finishing one stroke short of qualification at the First Stage in October. However, a revised policy by the tour to include the top 35% gave him the opportunity to compete, and he made it count.
Unfortunately, Peter Cherian fell short, finishing 59th at 4-over par, just outside the coveted top-40 required to earn playing rights on the ATGT.
