Tiger Woods and Bridgestone extend partnership
January is the season for golf equipment announcements, and Bridgestone Golf wasted no time confirming its star-studded roster. Headlining the news, Tiger Woods extended his partnership with the brand through 2025. The 15-time major champion, a Bridgestone staffer since 2016, emphasized the company’s dedication to innovation and performance.
“Since the beginning, Bridgestone has continued to lead in technology, performance, and consistency,” Woods noted, highlighting their collaborative approach to developing industry-leading golf balls.
Joining Woods in re-upping their deals are longtime Bridgestone ambassadors Matt Kuchar, Fred Couples, Boo Weekley, and 2023 signee Chris Gotterup. Gotterup’s extension includes playing Bridgestone’s forged 221 CB irons alongside the Tour B ball.
The brand also bolstered its ranks by signing PGA Tour winners Kurt Kitayama and Harry Hall for the current season. Both players will tee up with the Tour B X, with Kitayama showcasing Bridgestone’s innovative Mindset visual technology—a trio of circles designed to optimize focus and shot preparation.
This cutting-edge design, first popularized by Jason Day, has been embraced by players like Couples and Gotterup. The red, yellow, and green circles act as mental triggers, helping golfers calculate, prepare, and commit to each shot.
“Building a tour team is part art and part science,” said Bridgestone president Dan Murphy. “Performance drives our decisions, and we’re confident our mix of icons, proven winners, and rising stars positions Team Bridgestone for success.”
With Woods reaffirming his belief in the product and fresh talent joining the roster, Bridgestone continues to cement its place as a leader in golf ball innovation.
