The Hero World Challenge, renowned for assembling one of the most formidable fields in golf, returns this week to Albany, Bahamas, from December 5-8. Headlining the event is World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, the defending champion and Olympic gold medalist from Paris, poised to extend his stellar 2024 season. The action will be broadcast live on FanCode.
This year’s tournament welcomes eight debutants to the prestigious 20-player field: Ludvig Åberg, Sahith Theegala, Russell Henley, Robert MacIntyre, Aaron Rai, Matthieu Pavon, Akshay Bhatia, and Nick Dunlap. The diverse lineup features representatives from eight countries, including the United States, Republic of Korea, Austria, Australia, England, Scotland, France, and Sweden.
Notably, the field boasts six major champions with a collective tally of eight major victories: Scheffler, the two-time Masters champion (2022, 2024); 2023 U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark; 2023 Open Champion Brian Harman; two-time PGA Championship victor Justin Thomas (2017, 2022); 2015 PGA Champion Jason Day; and 2011 PGA Champion Keegan Bradley.
