Yellamaraju finishes T-14 at Texas Open, just misses top-10

Sudarshan Yellamaraju continued his strong run with a tied 14th finish at the Texas Open.

He closed at 10-under (69-73-66-70), narrowly missing out on a third straight top-10.

The Indian-origin golfer’s week was built around a standout bogey-free 6-under 66 in round three, despite weather interruptions. He followed it with a 2-under 70 in the final round to climb up the leaderboard.

Yellamaraju picked up four birdies in his closing round but late bogeys on the eighth and ninth proved costly.

J.J. Spaun claimed the title at 17-under, edging out Robert MacIntyre, Matt Wallace and Michael Kim by one shot.

Spaun surged through the weekend with rounds of 66 and 67 to secure the win, bouncing back after a quiet start to the season.

Tommy Fleetwood finished tied 10th at 11-under after a steady final round of 69.

For Yellamaraju, another strong finish reinforces his growing consistency on the PGA Tour.
