Yuvraj one round from matching PGTI’s single-season wins record
PGTI Ranking leader Yuvraj Sandhu moved one round away from a slice of tour history, carding a bogey-free six-under 66 to grab a one-shot lead after three rounds at the Vishwa Samudra Open 2025 presented by Kapil Dev at Delhi Golf Club.
If he finishes the job on Friday, the Chandigarh pro will join Manu Gandas as the only players to win six titles in a single PGTI season – and erase the sting of last week, when he led deep into Sunday in Jaipur but had to settle for second.
Starting the day tied third, Yuvraj (73-69-66) did exactly what Delhi Golf Club demands: keep it in play, stay patient, and cash in when the chances appear. He opened with a birdie on the first, then rolled in two more on 7 and 9 from the 10–20 foot range to turn in three-under.

The back nine was more of the same calm control. Long putts dropped again on 11 and 13, and another birdie on 14 took him to six-under for the day and eight-under 208 for the tournament – the best card of round three, and good enough to edge ahead of a crowded leaderboard on a tricky scoring day.
“I feel there is more clarity between me and my caddie in decision-making this week,” Yuvraj said. “That’s one thing that has really helped over the last two days. I also needed a bit of time away from the game – even 24 hours at home in Chandigarh after Jaipur helped me reset. I got a paddle tennis game in with friends, and I’ve come here feeling fresher.”
Delhi’s Rashid Khan (72-70-67) sits closest, one behind at seven-under 209 after a six-birdie 67 that quietly moved him into the final group. The two-time international winner hasn’t lifted a trophy in six years and now has the perfect stage: home course, big purse, and a chance to chase down the hottest player on tour.
Just behind them lurks the man whose record Yuvraj is chasing. The 2022 Order of Merit champion Manu Gandas (71-72-68) is five-under 211 in solo third, keeping the pressure on with a steady 68 that keeps him within striking distance if the leaders stumble.
One round to go at the revered Delhi Golf Club. Yuvraj chasing a record-tying sixth win of the season. Rashid chasing his first title in years. Manu chasing his own mark in the PGTI record books.
Sunday shapes up as a straight shootout – with history sitting on the line.
